Huguang Guild Hall (湖广会馆) is a good choice for enjoying the genuine classical opera. It is located in No. 3, Hufang Road, where there are a large - scale restored historic buildings with beautiful carved beams, painted rafters,winding path, rubbed bricks with tight joints and green walls, it becomes the most shinning oriental pearl of old Beijing. Huguang Guild Hall was the former home of high ranking officals in the Qing Dynasty, it was open to the public on May 8th in 1996.

There is show daily at 18:30-19:30, you need to book earlier to make sure the seats available. Inside the opera house, you can sit around a traditional square table with free Chinese tea and snacks at the two-storey auditorium. There are English subtitles on each side of the stage to help you assimilate repertoire stories.
